SMS terms

Linemerge sends text messages (SMS) about bookings. This page is the program description, the consent you give when you enter a phone number, and how to stop the messages. It applies in the United States and Canada, where the service currently sends texts.

What the messages are

Program name: Linemerge booking notifications. Sender: Nameverse Inc. on behalf of the person or business you booked with (the "host"). Messages are transactional and relate only to a booking you made:

• A confirmation when the booking is confirmed (or approved by the host).
• A reminder about 24 hours before, and another about 1 hour before.
• A notice if the host moves or cancels the booking.

That is at most four messages per booking, plus one per change. There are no marketing texts, and hosts cannot write or send texts through Linemerge.

How you opt in

You consent by typing your mobile number into the Phone field of a booking form and submitting the booking. The form says so next to the field. For phone-call and in-person meeting types the number is required, because the host needs it to reach you; you can still opt out of texts afterwards and the host will still have the number for the call.

How you opt out

Reply STOP to any message and you will receive one final confirmation that you have been unsubscribed; no further texts will be sent to that number. Reply START to resubscribe. Reply HELP for help, or email [email protected].

Costs and carriers

Message and data rates may apply according to your mobile plan. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Delivery depends on your carrier and network coverage.

Your data

Your phone number is used for these messages and shown to the host you booked with. It is not sold, not used for advertising, and not shared with anyone except Twilio, the carrier that transmits the message. See the Privacy Policy. To have a number removed from a host's records, contact the host or email us.
