Your merged calendar in any calendar app
One private subscription link shows all your calendars as busy time in Apple Calendar, Google Calendar or Outlook.
Updated
Your merged calendar feed is a private subscription link that shows every calendar LineMerge syncs for you, as busy time, in any calendar app.
- Under Booking page → Merged calendar feeds, give a feed a name (say, Work phone) and click Create feed.
- Copy the link straight away: it is shown once.
- In your calendar app, add it as a subscribed calendar from a URL; in Google Calendar that is Other calendars → From URL.
What it shows
- Every busy event on the calendars LineMerge syncs for you, plus your LineMerge bookings, from 7 days ago to 60 days ahead. Paused calendars are left out.
- Events appear as Busy. Only calendars you set to public show their titles; private and household calendars never do, because the link ends up in phones and other apps.
- It is read-only: make changes on the original calendar.
How often does the feed refresh?
Each time a calendar app fetches the link it gets your merged calendar as of LineMerge's latest sync, and it may reuse that copy for up to five minutes. How often the app fetches is up to the app: Apple Calendar lets you pick an interval, and Google Calendar refreshes subscribed calendars on its own schedule, often only every few hours. For an up-to-the-minute view, use My calendar or the apps.
Revoking a feed
Treat the link like a password: anyone who has it can read your busy times. Each feed has its own link, so you can Revoke one (an old phone's, say) and the others keep working. A revoked link stops working at once. Signing out everywhere or changing your password stops every feed made before it, and deleting your account stops them all.
