What's new in LineMerge

LineMerge is scheduling software that merges your calendars behind one booking link. These are the changes you would notice as a host or a booker, newest first. Fixes behind the scenes are left out unless they changed what you see.

Sign-in limits that spare your own browsers

  • Someone guessing your password can no longer lock you out: a browser or app you have signed in from before is checked on its own allowance, and a password reset clears the count.
  • Pages whose address works as a key (password reset, email confirmation, booking management, invitations and unsubscribe) no longer load analytics or pass their address to other sites. Every email now has a plain-text version too.
  • Help articles are linked from the feature, plan and FAQ pages they explain. Calendar change notices from Google, Microsoft and Zoom are limited per connected calendar, so one busy account can't slow anyone else's sync, and the availability API pages long answers.

Safer sign-in, steadier sync, replies that reach you

  • Booker emails and texts have per-address limits, so a booking page can't be used to flood someone's inbox. After ten wrong passwords for one account, sign-in from a new browser or app is refused for up to 15 minutes. A browser or app you have signed in from before is still checked on its own allowance, and a password reset clears the count.
  • One bad event in Google or Microsoft no longer stops a calendar from syncing; the dashboard says how many events were left out and why. If you move to Free with more than two calendar sources, the extra ones are paused, not deleted, and resume when you upgrade or remove one.
  • When a booker replies to a confirmation, reminder or change email, the reply goes to the host, once the host's email is confirmed. Product-tip emails have a one-click unsubscribe that needs no sign-in.

Billing, passwords and booking details

  • Choosing a plan on the pricing page now opens Billing with that plan selected. Common passwords are refused when you sign up or change your password.
  • A host who hasn't confirmed their email can take three bookings; after that the page pauses until the email is confirmed.
  • New meeting types default to a phone call, times in English use a 12-hour clock, and if two people move the same booking at once, the second sees that it has already moved.

Booking pages in Spanish

  • Booking pages, confirmation emails, reminders and texts are available in Spanish, with dates, weekdays and 24-hour times written the Spanish way.
  • Embedded booking pages keep working when a visitor switches language.
  • The booking page picks up the visitor's timezone from their browser and only remembers one they choose themselves.

Signing out takes effect at once

  • Signing out ends that session immediately. Before, it could stay usable for up to 30 minutes.
  • Resetting or changing your password cancels every other reset link still waiting in your inbox.
  • Confirming your email now takes a click on a button, so a mail scanner opening the link can't confirm an account for you.

Weekly series and confirmation fixes

  • A weekly series that needs the booker to confirm is confirmed for every week with one click, and the email says how many weeks it covers.
  • A confirmation link clicked after the meeting's start time closes the request instead of booking a meeting in the past.
  • On the day clocks spring forward, working hours start when the clock exists again rather than an hour early.

Booking pages open on a day with times

  • With no day picked, a booking page opens on the first day that still has openings, not on a full today.
  • The comparison table reads as cards on a phone instead of cutting off a column.
  • A booking link shared in a message previews in the page's language and speaks to the booker.

How it works: Moving or cancelling a booking you made

Group classes, deleted meeting types and Team seats

  • Deleting a meeting type keeps its past bookings, no-shows and history; its link can be reused.
  • People who book the same group class at the same moment all get the same meeting link.
  • Team seats can no longer be billed twice when two changes arrive together.

iOS app: re-pairs after a password reset

  • After you reset your password, the iOS app pairs the phone again instead of quietly stopping its calendar updates.

Block time across calendars

  • Link one calendar to another and every busy event in the first holds the same time in the second, titled "Private" or a label you choose.
  • Blocks move and disappear with their events. Available on every plan.

Book the day you're already in the area

  • An in-person meeting type can be held at the booker's address.
  • Once a booker types their address, the booking page marks the days you're already in their area. Bookers never see where you are.

Microsoft admin approval and Zoom

  • If your Microsoft 365 organisation requires an administrator to approve calendar apps, LineMerge gives you a link to send your IT admin.
  • The Connect Google and Connect Microsoft buttons work in every browser; some browsers silently blocked them.
  • Zoom meeting links for confirmed bookings are built and wait on Zoom's app review; the integrations page shows where that stands.
