Booking form questions and the screening question
Every booking form asks for a name and email; you can add up to three questions per meeting type and one screening question for your page.
Updated
Two things ask bookers questions. Questions belong to one meeting type and sit on its booking form. The screening question belongs to your booking page and is asked before anyone picks a meeting type.
What every booking form asks
- Name and email, always required. A booker signed in to LineMerge has both filled in.
- Phone, optional, except on phone-call and in-person meeting types, where it is required. A booker who gives a number also gets text messages.
- Address, required only on an in-person type where you travel to the booker.
- Your questions, when the type has any.
- A note about the meeting, always optional.
Adding questions to a meeting type
Open a type under Meeting types and fill in Questions for the booker: up to three, each up to 120 characters, each with its own Required box. A required question has to be answered before the booking goes through; the others are marked optional on the form. Answers are short text, up to 500 characters. Questions show exactly as you typed them, also on a booking page shown in Spanish.
Where the answers show up
Each answer appears next to its question in your Bookings list and in the client's history under Clients, in the request and confirmation emails you get, in the notes of the event written to your calendar, and in webhook payloads. The booker's own confirmation email doesn't repeat them. If you reword a question later, earlier answers keep showing under the old wording.
The screening question
Under Booking page → Screening question, write one question (up to 160 characters) and up to four answers, each pointing at one of your active meeting types: "Are you buying or selling?" → Buyer consult / Listing appointment. Your page then opens with the question and one button per answer, each going straight to its meeting type, with all your types listed underneath under Or pick directly.
- The answer isn't stored. It only chooses the meeting type; ask again with a question on that type if you need it on record.
- Leave the question blank and save to turn it off.
- It is on your personal booking page only. Household and business pages don't have one.
